๐Ÿงก Last week, we welcomed our very loved facilitator, Sara Santana, who guided us in creating orange shirt pins in honour of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30.

We honour that many of our community members are residential school survivors, and we hold space for the feelings this time of the year may bring. We wrap our community members in love and care every day, and especially throughout this month.

As we approach September 30, we encourage everyone to check in on one another, be gentle with yourselves, and know that you are cared for by us.

๐Ÿงก Sending lots of love from Oasis

Our first year of Equine Assisted Learning at Heart Lake Farm has come to a close ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿด

Through our Pathway to Healing program, we had the opportunity to gather monthly at Heart Lake Farms, where two cohorts participated in their 6 month Equine Assisted Learning program and earned their Horse Assisted Learning Certificates.

Our groups had the opportunity to explore personal growth and strengthen valuable life skills, including confidence, communication, leadership, teamwork, emotional regulation and more through hands-on experiences and meaningful connections with the horses.

Congratulations to our first cohort: Alice, Lionel, Carol, Joseph, Judy, and Lezley.

And to our second cohort: Angelina, Jerrica, Alexis, Lesley, Brenna, Glenda Lee, Debbie, and Charly.

Thank you for showing up for yourselves and for one another. We are so proud of each of you and grateful to have been part of this journey. ๐ŸŒŸ

Also, a huge thank you to Heart Lake Farm and each of their staff for welcoming us every month and providing such a meaningful experience.

We look forward to continuing this journey with new participants in September!
