🌈 What a day! Being part of the pride festival at MacDonald Park over the weekend was incredible.

We met so many wonderful people, had thoughtful conversations about mental wellness and recovery, handed out Pride-themed keychains made at the Clubhouse, and were reminded just how powerful community can be.

Everywhere you looked there was music, laughter, celebration, and even weddings! It was also a special opportunity to connect with the leader of the BC Greens, Emily Lowan. And yes, Everest did too many cartwheels.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared your story, asked about Connections Place, or simply said hello. It was an honor to be part of a day that celebrates authenticity, belonging, and the freedom to be yourself.

We're already looking forward to next year. Happy Pride! 🏳️‍🌈🧩

Yesterday was our beloved Sarah's last day! Sarah's work at Connections Place was beyond bookkeeping -- her hilarious stories, joyful laugh, and compassionate support to our community will forever be fondly remembered.

Last Saturday, 15 members enjoyed a wonderful outing to the Royal BC Museum in downtown Victoria!

The group spent the day exploring fascinating exhibits, learning about British Columbia’s rich history, culture, and natural environment. It was a wonder to behold the incredible artistry, thought, and care that went into the curating of such a space.

We're so grateful to our community partners, donors, supporters, volunteers, family, and friends who have walked alongside us over the years. Your support has helped make everything we do possible.

A special thank you to the incredible volunteers who helped renovate our kitchen. It meant so much to finally recognize and celebrate your hard work and generosity.
