✨ Happy Earth Day ✨

Today, people around the world are coming together to stand in solidarity and take action for climate justice! Climate change doesn’t know borders—so it’s up to ALL of us to be part of the solution!

Just a reminder: however you choose to get involved—whether you’re leading community initiatives, spreading awareness on social media, or joining an Earth Day event—your participation MATTERS! Every individual action taken is a step toward a more just and equitable climate future! 🌍💚

Folks in and around Victoria are invited to Bowker Creek Biodiversity Day on the afternoon of August 12. Thaywun, meaning "Coho Salmon Stream" in lək̓ʷəŋən - has been the site of many O&O field trips. An important aspect of bioregionalism is deeply knowing the land, culture, and history of a place. Interacting and becoming familiar with the W̱SÁNEĆ lunar calendar is an excellent way to do this!

This time of year is traditionally known as ĆENHENEN (June-July) ☀️🌊🐟

This moon marks the arrival of the Humpback salmon.
This is the dry weather season, drier than the interior of Canada. This is the season for Humpback salmon fishing.
