We dropped in to chat with Grace Lore MLA Victoria-Beacon Hill about the impact of the Victoria ARC in our community.

Executive Director Jonathan Hopkins, Director of Programs Karen Shaw, and Recovery Program Manager Ivana Bekavac spoke about the ARC’s contribution to providing additional emergency shelter beds and long-term housing placements, strengthening recovery-oriented care, and supporting people transitioning from incarceration.

For more than 130 years, The Salvation Army has been working alongside community partners to help build a caring and just society in Victoria. We’re grateful for opportunities to listen, collaborate, and work together toward a community where everyone has the opportunity to find hope and dignity.

WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY!

Thank you to all the community members who joined us for today’s Community Summer BBQ. It was a joy to share a meal and create space for connection, belonging, and community.

A special thank-you to the Victoria Knights Hinirang Eagles Club and their five amazing volunteers for helping us serve our community. We are also grateful to the wonderful people from 3F Recovery and the Facilities & Food Services Team who helped with setup, meal service, and cleanup.
