I felt like this photo was so necessary and highlights that there are very different worlds out there- despite us all being very alike.

I was casually wearing my Ray Ban sunglasses, very expensive perfume, and Coach bag.. I was also driving my little car, wearing shoes, and had a full belly.

It’s important to reflect on your own life, your own privileges and your own blessings once in a while. Remind yourself that nothing is permanent, that we’re all more alike than we are different and that fairness is NOT distributed equally. That being ”into” helping humans who are less fortunate than you and living on our streets is nothing more than humanity.

Thanks for reading.. stay blessed and never take your privileges for granted.

This is not on the island but our small island is not far away from this.

This is in New Brunswick. How scary and tragic.

I would say reach out for help which you should do but the TRUTH is that we simply DO NOT have enough resources for amount of people who are struggling and want to overcome their or challenges.
THAT NEEDS TO CHANGE💔
Our heart goes out to all those who are struggling.

The part where she says “I’m so grateful to be in my life,” is so real, beautiful, tragic, sad.. a concoction of a range of emotions.

This conversation was much longer but hopefully you understand the general sentiments here. She wants us to know that although she is grateful she feels forgotten.. a lot.

She also mentioned (in the part that I cut off) that Muncey Place does NOT provide toilet paper or menstrual products. If you take a quick look online google and AI will tell you (or at least it told me) that Muncey Place provides basic hygiene items.

Oh, also, people pay hundreds to live there. Hundreds, like, near a thousand.. for A ROOM (also google says for basic necessities, round the clock support staff and a couple other things.) I don’t know if everyone pays but everyone I’ve asked and who currently lives there does.

I am not saying that I’m unhappy that places like Muncey Place exist. I am saying that we should question what we see on the internet and give people who are unhoused more grace and compassion (act compassionately.. don’t just say that you “feel” sorry for them then turn away; doing that makes you no better than the folks who don’t care).
Also, can we all agree that people deserve better?! That people are worth help? That you and I have certain obligations? That there’s not much of a “safety net,” even here in “beautiful BC” like a lot of us seem to believe?

That helping isn’t difficult at all?

ATTN VANCOUVER ISLAND and VICTORIA

Overdoses are on the rise in VICTORIA, BC, on VANCOUVER ISLAND and in CANADA again.

There’s an extra bad batch of substances CURRENTLY going around that either has something in it that people don’t expect, or the substances have TOO MUCH of something in them that’s causing negative unexpected and unintended reactions.

If someone overdoses or they don’t wake up when you talk to them, the most important thing is to give them oxygen. If you have naloxone, fantastic, but if you don’t you can still help them by giving them mouth to mouth. One breath every 4-5 seconds is great. Call 911 while doing this and they’ll instruct you further.

If the person doesn’t wake up stay with them until the ambulance arrives. If you can, stay with them even if they do wake up.

Please share this. It will help mothers save their babies, fathers save their children, family save their family members, friends save their friends and so on.

I don’t sell these but they do get used by volunteers and by me!

Which would you pick to wear.. black or white?

As always, I appreciate you watching this video. Engagement on social media helps a ton because no one can donate to me without knowing about me! I also think the videos I post might help spread some truth and inspire some things.

My very first thought was “wow, we really ARE all alike.”

My next was, “are there any third party observers in these “shelters,” or in “supportive” housing facilities? Are the so called “bans” that workers are allowed to make policed in any way? Kicking someone out of their home seems like a lot of power.”

And my last was “conversation really matters.”

A lot happens and is said in this one. Break down everything you hear. Listen. Analyze.
