Tonight will see us having a Blue Moon!

If something happens “once in a Blue Moon" - it's said to be rare. But just how rare is a Blue Moon?

First, a Blue Moon is the second full moon in a calendar month.

Because Blue Moons only happen about once every 33 months - you can be waiting quite a long time for the next one to come around.

If you miss tonight's Blue Moon - the next one isn't until December 31, 2028.

We loved welcoming you to the 2026 City of Gardens Quilt Show and Sale.

Thank you to our guests, vendors, members, and the Pearkes Rec Centre staff for coming together to make this the best experience!

This is a taste of some of the quilts on display!

Dates: Friday, Saturday & Sunday - May 8, 9 and 10, 2026

Times: Friday & Saturday - 10am to 5pm + Sunday - 10am to 3pm

Venue: Pearkes Rec Centre (3100 Tillicum Road - behind the mall)

Admission is $10 and good for all three days. Youth 18 and under attend for free!

We had a lot of fun hanging the quilts today! Looking forward to welcoming you to our City of Gardens Quilt Show & Sale.

It was a long day setting up the quilt show, but oh so rewarding.

This is a glimpse of part of the Canadiana section of the show.
