Join multi-platinum Canadian singer-songwriter Andrew Allen THIS THURSDAY as he headlines an outdoor concert on the last day of school, with local secondary school bands opening the night and a community that knows how to celebrate.

The event starts at 5 p.m. on the DND Grounds and $1 from every ticket sold will go to CMHA Vernon's Youth Integrated Services Hub, which provides a number of essential services to local youth.

This July, Jessi Harewicz – the established ultra-marathon swimmer – will attempt the longest unassisted, non-stop swim in Canada — a 106 km journey across Okanagan Lake from Vernon to Penticton.

Jessi is taking on this challenge to help expand access to youth mental health services across the Okanagan. Funds raised through her swim will benefit three new Foundry centres in development:

📍Foundry on the Westside (West Kelowna, Westbank First Nation, Peachland)
📍Foundry Summerland

Through CMHA Vernon's wellness programs, individuals have the opportunity to engage in activities that assist in gaining practical skills and connect with others. Some recent highlights include:

Photos 1-3: Microwave Wonders class, where participants learned how to make Mac & Cheese and an Oatmeal cookie.
Photos 4-5: Plant Your Own Herb class, where participants planted herbs to grow from a hydroponic tower at the CMHA Vernon kitchen.
