Have you been wondering how you can impact our community with the love of Christ? As Christians we are called to open our hands, our hearts and our homes to those in need but how do we do that? Safe Families Canada - Okanagan is a wonderful way where you can do that! Everyone can do something, and every little thing adds up to bigger things 😀

We are looking for volunteers who would like join us in surrounding families in crisis in the Vernon area with a caring, compassionate community. ❤️

Strong families are not built in isolation.

They are strengthened through connection, encouragement, and community. 🤍 No parent should have to carry hardship alone. Small acts of love can make a lasting difference for a family in crisis. It takes a village to help children stay safe and families stay together.

Be the village. 🏡

May is Mental Health Awareness Month — a reminder that behind every door, every family, and every story, there is often more going on than meets the eye. We see how deeply mental health impacts parents and caregivers everyday… especially those walking through crisis. Parenting was never meant to be done alone, and yet so many families find themselves trying to carry everything without support.

If you or someone you know is struggling, reaching out is a courageous first step. And sometimes, the most powerful thing we can offer is simply community.

Strong families. Supported parents. Safe children.

As we prepare Mother’s Day cards for the moms in our Moms’ Group, we are so grateful for the support of our community in honouring and celebrating the moms!

Please join us in celebrating these women and the role they play by donating gift cards to include in Mother’s Day cards.

As single moms with limited support and family nearby, many of these women will not receive much on Mother’s Day — and will not get a break. Help us remind them that they are not alone.

We believe that everyone can do something. It takes a community to surround families in crisis with a circle of support. Whether it’s opening your home, offering friendship, or simply praying—every role matters and we know that you have something unique to offer!

When each of us says “yes” to doing our part, families don’t have to face hard seasons alone. Together, we become the support system so many parents are missing.
