Stay in an 1895-built mansion, one of the oldest homes in Vernon - we offer residencies for artists, writers, musicians and creative individuals with living accommodations and studio/workspace. The Caetani Summer Solstice Music Festival and Market is excited to welcome Kinfolk Nation to our stage on June 20!

Described as "something like a beautiful whisper," Kinfolk Nation creates "dream-spaces through the exploration of a New Jazz - the sound of Ubuntu."

This artist coalition documents the experiences and stories of contemporary Africans/ Caribbeans/ Spirits, and the kindred spirits they cross paths with.

Join them live on the outdoor stage @6 PM at the historic Caetani Cultural Centre!

Cher, a talented doll-maker and multi-media textile artist, has been a Caetani studio artist for several years. Her imaginative creations are available under her brand, Freaky Faeries, and can be found in the Caetani Centre Gift Shop as well as at local markets, including the annual Strange Bazaar happening June 20th and 21st on the Caetani grounds.

Come and visit us at our Jüül Studio during the First Friday Art Trail on June 5th from 2-6 PM, where you'll have the chance to meet our featured artist, Marlene Lowden!

Visiting from Gibsons, Marlene is an incredible abstract oil painter whose work beautifully captures the quiet intelligence and resilient beauty of the natural world. 🌱💙

Originally trained in broadcast television, Lowden brings a strong sense of composition and visual storytelling to her large-scale oil paintings, all while teaching and facilitating creative retreats. Her accolades include being recognized as one of "28 Contemporary Canadian Artists to Know" by Create! Magazine and her impactful "Blind Contour Homage" series, celebrating Canadian women artists.

Come and chat with Marlene about her journey, her artistic process, and what inspires her work.
