May 5th marks the National Day of Awareness and Remembrance for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQI+ People, also known as Red Dress Day.

The red dresses act as a visual reminder of the Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQI+ people who are missing or who have been murdered and to raise awareness of the violence affecting Indigenous communities.

An independent, national, toll-free support call line is available to provide support for anyone who requires immediate emotional assistance. This line is available free of charge, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - 1-844-413-6649.
