Every great event needs someone who sees every detail that everyone else misses. For the 2026 Women of the Year Awards, that person was Dora Anderson. 💛🏆

Dora served as our Secretary and was a key part of our Nominations and Judging Panel as well as our Space Planning lead. Known as the founder of Ecotecture, a green building design consultation company, Dora brought the same knowledge, precision, and detail-oriented approach to this committee that she brings to everything she does. 💜

Her ability to elevate plans and push our thinking further made the whole committee better. And if you have ever had the privilege of spending time in her beautiful office space that she so generously donated to our planning sessions, you already know that Dora does everything with intention and excellence. 🌟

The 2026 Women of the Year Awards quite literally would not exist without this woman. 💛🏆

Violet Vosper is the Community Engagement Lead at Community Dental, our charity partner of the year, and it was Violet who first brought the question to the VWIB board about bringing the Women of the Year Awards back in 2025. From that single conversation, an entire movement was born. 💜

As our Vice Chair and Logistics lead, Violet worked tirelessly behind the scenes managing the venue, volunteers, and every service requirement that goes into pulling off a night like June 4. The things that looked seamless on the night? That was Violet. 🌟

Violet, you planted the seed and then you helped it grow into something this community will never forget. Thank you for your vision, your dedication, and your heart for this community. We are endlessly grateful. 🙌🎉

The 2026 Women of the Year Awards was everything we dreamed it would be and then some. Last night Coldstream Community Hall was filled with the most incredible energy, the warmest hearts, and a community that showed up and showed out for the women who deserve it most. 💜

To our committee, there are no words big enough. The months of planning, the late nights, the endless details, the passion and the dedication you poured into making last night what it was, it showed in every single moment of the evening. You are extraordinary and this community is so lucky to have you. 🙌

To our nominees, our winners, our sponsors, and every guest who filled that room last night, thank you. Thank you for dressing up, showing up, and being part of something truly special. Thank you for cheering each other on, for lifting each other up, and for reminding us all why we do this year after year. 💜

Angie is the Founder of Forever Home Sanctuary and when you start to look at everything she has built and everything she gives, you begin to realize that one title does not even come close to capturing who she is. 💜

Yes, she rescues animals and finds them loving homes. But she also shows up for seniors who need connection. She champions women's leadership in this community.
