WE’RE ONE WEEK AWAY FROM OUR SECOND QUARTERLY GATHERING OF 2026 🤩🙌🎉

Join Catholic Action Montreal (CAM) for a Mass of thanksgiving for all members, partners, and friends. Mass will be followed by a reception in the parish hall featuring: a service opportunity fair with tables representing many of our partner organizations; time for networking, finger food, homemade beer, and a short presentation from our partners Le Pont A.P.P.I. about the work they do to provide housing to asylum seekers in Montreal!

On Friday the 13th of March, Catholic Action started a new chapter in the spiritual & community life component of our mission when we hosted our first Quarterly Gathering of 2026 at Paroisse Saint Laurent. We remembered Boris Polanski, a pillar of our Late Sunday Mass team and Eugene Osidacz, a committed volunteer from our Ukrainian Refugee Welcome Project.

Mass was presided by Fr. Anthony Atansi and concelebrated by Fr. Raymond Lafontaine, E.V.. Fr. Anthony’s homily focused on the 5G’s of Service: Goodness - Gifts - Gratitude - Generosity - and Glory, was moving, inspiring, and passionate. Our music ministry team, led by Janet-Elayne Sudayan, was composed mainly of the former music ministry team for the 5pm Sunday Mass at Jesus Light of the World. Their beautiful music heightened the atmosphere of prayer experience by all present.

During the reception our Executive Director, Terrel Joseph, spoke about Catholic Action’s mission and introduced a line up of dynamic speakers that included: Anna Graham, Chair of Catholic Action; Jessica-Anne- Jalea, former Executive Director for Catholic Action; Palmina Montanaro, Co-Lay Director of Challenge who co-hosted the event; and our keynote speaker, Diane Doonan, vice president and founder of LaSalle D&D 50+ Centre, who spoke of the incredible work of Lasalle D&D in service to Seniors, and the partnership history between Lasalle D&D and Catholic Action.

We are grateful to all who attended and for this opportunity to gather, celebrate, connect, and network. We are looking forward to gathering us all together again for QG #2 on Friday, May 29 at St. Willibrord’s Parish in Verdun: from 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm. Stay tuned for more info to come! Please RSVP 🙂

Catholic Action Montreal (CAM) cordially invites you to attend our 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) where we will share updates, upcoming events, and hear from you! All are welcome - members, partners, and friends of Catholic Action.

In addition to the normal business, we will also be reviewing and voting on recent amendments to our articles of incorporation and by-laws as proposed by your CAM Board of Directors.

Two weeks before the AGM you will receive a seperate email with copies of the new articles of incorporation & by-laws with the changes from the original documents highlighted.

Today, we reflect on Jesus’ crucifixion and death on the cross. We remember His loving sacrifice for us. Teach us Lord to love like you.

A Blessed Holy Thursday 🙏🏽

May the start of the Triduum allow us to reflect on the friendships Jesus had with his disciples and His life of service to those around Him. Today we remember The Last Supper when Jesus washes the feet of his disciples out of love for them 🫶🏾

He calls us to “love one another as I have loved you” (John 13:34)
