Continuing with donations on March 5/26 the Vegreville Elks Lodge #143 presented a cheque for $500 to Bro. Bernie Florkow for the St. Michaels District Community and Agriculture Society that will be part of the Haying In the 30's Cancer Fundraising Event. Bro. Bernie, as well a being an Elks Lodge Member is also a fundraiser for the Haying in the 30's event.

At the March 5 meeting the Vegreville Elks Lodge #143 presented a cheque for $3,250 to Janet Hope from the St. Joseph's Hospital as part of a five year commitment of $17,850 to purchase a Tilt Table and a Vital Signs Monitor for the hospital.

At the March 5/26 meeting the Vegreville Elks Lodge #143 donated $1,816 to the Vegreville Composite High School Curling team to help with expenses for a Provincial Curling event in Lloydminster.

We are to share with our Lodges and members the new Junior Elks program, developed through the Elks and Royal Purple Fund for Children through a generous donation from the South Vancouver Elks Lodge No. 55.
