rise by lifting others.
Ordinary people do extraordinary things. Founded in 2020 by Shelly Arbib and Maureen Leshem, two Toronto moms, in love with acts of love. Noticing a need to provide immediate assistance to those less fortunate in their community, they founded the482collective. A non-profit, self propelled organization, that seeks out those who need help and support, when government programs often fall short. Their philosophy is simple. Build a culture of giving. Raise a generation of givers, but above all; goodness brings goodness.
Working with a variety of local organizations, the482collective aims to support in any way they can. The need is great, but their willingness to attend to this need is greater. the482collective, is fully self funded and relies on the joint cooperation of other extraordinary, ordinary persons who donate their time, their networks, supplies and finances - to help support the variety of initiatives that the482collective works towards contributing to.
Uniting communities, inspiring families, raising up our future generations to know that they too can find a power in kindness. It may take a village to build great things, but that village starts with the individual. And the only way to build a collective, is to BE a collective.
We invite you with open arms and hearts to join the482collective; To feed your soul, while feeding the needs of others. Give this gift to others, but most importantly to yourself.
