Following our Department’s 2026 AGM, we would like to take a moment to reflect on the past year and recognize the many accomplishments achieved by our members.
We would also like to congratulate Justin Lamarche on his appointment as Deputy Chief. We are confident in his leadership and are excited to have him in this role. In addition to his new responsibilities, he will continue as our Training Officer, helping ensure we meet our operational and training goals.
We were proud to receive our first brand new engine from Fort Garry Fire Trucks. Once crew orientation is complete, we will carry out a traditional “push-in” ceremony to officially welcome the unit into service. This addition brings our fleet to a total of four units, with our previous engine being transitioned into a dedicated rescue unit.
Our department gym is nearly complete, which will support our members in achieving and maintaining the fitness levels required for the demands of the job.
Over the past year, we expanded our services to include Motor Vehicle Accident responses, focusing on scene control and first aid. Throughout the winter months, our members responded to several incidents, continuing to serve and protect our community.
