The Vanderhoof Flying ClubCouncil meeting on Monday will present a plan for a terminal building at the Vanderhoof Airport. The preamble states consultation was with the VanJam Fire Base as the "most frequent users of theAirport". There is NO consultation with the tax paying private land holders, (the Fire base pays NO TAXES as it is a Provincial property, a loss of $23,000 to the Municipality.)
The most frequent (daily) users of the Airport are the Vanderhoof Flying Club Flight school, RDS Aviation, Guardian Aerospace and many private aircraft owners. Why no consultation? Oh, and no way to comment on this plan at an open Council meeting.

AVIATION FUEL UPDATE! For those planning to fly in. We are promised 100LL from Flight Fuels in Edmonton on Thursday. You can plan on having fuel to leave the Masters of the Air event Saturday.

Fly in information:

All aircraft: Review the information for Vanderhoof CAU4. Check NOTAM for possible Fire Activity. You will receive wristbands that will enable access to your aircraft. Camping underwing is permitted with no services except a toilet. Admission is by DONATION.

AWOS is available by phone 250-567-4494 or 122.55

Runway 07-25 will be primary runway. Circuits for 07 Right-hand on August 2-3-4.
Call 10M out Traffic 122.8 and we will probably answer as Vanderhoof Radio. Otherwise continue as an uncontrolled airport.
Exit taxiways A or B for fuel and/or exhibition spot. For non-exhibition fly-ins, take (temporary) taxiway C, park on the grass on the N and S side of the grass strip 07-25. No tie down provided.
