Dave has been a dedicated member of Prince George Search and Rescue since 1991, bringing 35 years of SAR experience, leadership, teaching, mentoring, and real-world rescue knowledge to the table.

From SAR management and large-scale training exercises to winter response, rope rescue, avalanche terrain safety, and 20 years with BC Cave Rescue, Dave has spent decades helping volunteers be “ready to go” when the call comes in.

Nechako Valley Search and Rescue members gathered Thursday night for dinner to thank and honour our incredible volunteers for their dedication, countless hours of training and commitment to keeping our community safe. 🌟

Years of Service Awards were presented to members who have served for 5, 10, and 25 years. We were also proud to grant Lifetime Honourary Memberships to Chris Mushumanski and Barry Langeloo in recognition of their outstanding dedication, unwavering commitment and many contributions to the mission, values and success of NVSAR. 🙌

We were joined by representatives from local governments and businesses who support what we do, including Saik’uz First Nation, the District of Vanderhoof, the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako, the Village of Fraser Lake, RCMP, and Tim Hortons. Thank you to Lana and Jon for the delicious food. 😃
