City Hub Initiative

City Hub Initiative A space for young change-makers to meet, learn, and collaborate. Come see us for a visit! We are an equal opportunity work space.

The City Hub Initiative strives to connect young change-makers with partners in a collaborative environment to develop innovative city sustainability projects, foster creativity, and provide engaging learning opportunities. City Hub Initiative is a grassroots organization founded on the basis of our personal experiences as young change-makers who lacked the resources, meeting space, and mentorship

to be as successful as possible in the projects we were working on. After a little bit of time spent as university students and as young professionals, we gained the connections necessary to set up a space for younger change-makers who shared our same aforementioned frustrations. In addition to bridging the gap for younger students, we aimed to make use of underutilized space, to help low-income groups with their space needs, and to have access to the space during convenient times for those such groups. Miraculously, at a chance meeting, the Dutch Urban Design Centre offered their space to us with open arms. This means that we do not discriminate people based on things such as race, sexual orientation, gender identity, socio-economic status, (dis)abilities, religion, etc.
