Fiscales e investigadores de Honduras completaron el curso "Vigilancia y Seguimiento en Casos de Trata de Personas", parte de la Iniciativa Regional para Combatir la Trata de Personas y Brindar Justicia a Mujeres y Niñas de .
Durante tres días aprendieron a planificar operaciones en campo, aplicar técnicas encubiertas y rescatar víctimas — siempre con un enfoque centrado en sus derechos y su dignidad.
Porque cuando los operadores de justicia están mejor preparados, las víctimas tienen más posibilidades de encontrar justicia. 🙏

🇭🇳 Behind every successful investigation, there are people who prepare to give their best.
Prosecutors and investigators from Honduras completed the course "Surveillance and Monitoring in Human Trafficking Cases", part of Regional Initiative to Combat Human Trafficking and Provide Justice to Women and Girls.
Over three days, they learned to plan field operations, apply undercover techniques, and rescue victims — always with an approach centered on their rights and dignity.
Because when justice operators are better prepared, victims have a greater chance of finding justice. 🙏

Through our Futures of Justice program, JES is building meaningful connections and inspiring equity-seeking youth to pursue careers in justice.

We were thrilled to welcome 50 students from across the Lower Mainland for a day of speed mentoring, genuine connection, and curiosity-driven conversation made possible by the generous mentors and Provincial Court Judges who dedicated their time to our students.

JES hosted its first ever Mock Trial Competition at UBC Peter A. Allard School of Law, bringing together over 40 high school students for an unforgettable hands-on legal experience.
Judged by real lawyers, judges, and tribunal members, students took on the roles of advocates in a criminal trial, a CRT hearing, and a civil trial — building real advocacy skills and deepening their understanding of intimate image sharing laws.
Thank you to participants and volunteers for making it happen! We can’t wait to do it again.

El 23 de abril de 2026, el equipo de JES presentó al Fiscal General de la República de El Salvador y a la Oficial de Economía Política de la Embajada de Canadá en El Salvador los resultados de la evaluación de necesidades del Sistema de Información y Gestión Automatizada del Proceso Fiscal.
Esta evaluación busca sentar las bases para la modernización tecnológica y la transformación digital de la Fiscalía General de la República, una institución clave en la lucha contra la trata de personas y el crimen organizado.
¿Por qué importa esto? 💡
Un sistema de gestión de casos más ágil, seguro e interconectado significa:
✅ Investigaciones más eficientes
✅ Mejor protección para las víctimas

🇸🇻 An important step toward a more modern and accessible justice system in El Salvador!
On April 23, 2026, the JES team presented to the Fiscal General de la República of El Salvador and the Political and Economic Officer of the Embassy of Canada in El Salvador the results of the needs assessment of the Automated Information and Case Management System for Fiscal Processes.
This assessment aims to lay the groundwork for the technological modernization and digital transformation of the Fiscalía General de la República, a key institution in the fight against human trafficking and organized crime.
Why does this matter? 💡
A more agile, secure, and interconnected case management system means:
✅ More efficient investigations
✅ Better protection for victims
✅ Greater access to justice for persons in vulnerable situations
✅ More transparent and traceable processes
