Afterglow for The North American Welsh Choir in the Red Dragon

The choir’s 2026 Tour will feature concerts in vibrant cities such as Nanaimo, Victoria and Vancouver, to share the joy of Welsh song in inspiring venues. Celebrations will continue with an Afterglow

Welsh Society Summer Picnic at
Chaldecott Park, Vancouver
Saturday 8 August Noon to 5:00 pm
4175 Wallace Street, Vancouver
The 2024 Summer Picnic
This lovely park has picnic tables, a water park, a playground and public conveniences. Dogs are permitted.
Please bring a bag lunch and a chair. There will be treats, drinks and a Welsh Society slab cake.
Come and spend a summer afternoon with family and friends.
There will be outdoor games, such as bocce, and some fun races!
If rain is forecast, the picnic will be postponed to Sunday 9 August (and to Saturday 15 August if rain is forecast for Sunday 9 August).

Cambrian Ramblers Walking Group
The group meets every two weeks on a Monday for walks at various locations in the Vancouver area. Next Walk: 20 July. An invitation and details will be sent to VWS Members approximately one week before the date of the walk. Information: [email protected]
Parti Cymraeg Vancouver
(Welsh Language singing group.)
Practices are held most Saturdays from noon to 1:30 pm. Singers don’t need to be able to read music or speak Welsh. All necessary learning tools (including music and lyrics) are available to singers on our web page. Participation is cost free. The choir is on

The objectives of the Vancouver Welsh Society are to promote the language, traditions and culture of Wales. All who share our goals are welcome!

If you’re new to the Welsh Society, or visiting us for the first time, please note that most of our events take place in the Red Dragon Pub, underneath the Cambrian Hall. Entry is either through the double doors at the back of the building (off the car park) or
through the double doors on the east side of the building, down a few steps.
