The Vancouver Folk Music Festival is a not for profit society building a world where folk music culture thrives. Already known around the world for the quality of its programming, friendly ambience and beautiful park setting, the 2022 Vancouver Folk Music Festival will be another year of exciting, eclectic and diverse music for all ages. This festival is guaranteed to create another magic-filled weekend of great music at Jericho Beach. Our Artistic Director Fiona Black was recently in Ireland as a guest of the very cool Secret Song Festival in Ballydehob, County Cork. Of course, she stopped in Dublin for a session or two.
Does this mean we'll see some Irish artists on our program? 🤷‍♀️ We can hope!

We've had a wonderful year this year and it's delightful to be acknowledged for the hard work of the past few years as we look forward to celebrating our 50th Anniversary.

1. Our colleagues at BC Live Performance Network voted us Best Festival, and our own Xin Xuan Song attended the ceremony (and conference) on Saturday.

2. Our Executive Director Corbin Murdoch holds the proof!

As fall sets in, we’re already dreaming of sunny days at Jericho Beach. 🌧️☀️

While the rain falls, we’re hard at work behind the scenes on some exciting administrative and organizational upgrades that will improve our efficiency and help strengthen the Festival for years to come.
