MCC Thrift

MCC supports the disaster relief, sustainable community development and justice and peace-building both in the local community and around the world.

Permanently closed.

We are a thrift store that deals used goods all acquired via donation. The store will be closing March 31, 2022

Our donations are now closed at this location. We will keep you informed of when we find a new location and when we will start up donations there. The store is run by a volunteer base of about 25 dedicated volunteers and only 3 or 4 paid staff. Contact the store if you are interested in volunteering and helping to make a difference in the lives of people in need. We have a system of coloured price tags and each week a different tag colour goes on sale 50% off. We also have special sales at the end of each month. All of the profit made at our store is sent to the charity MCC which exists to "[share] God's love and compassion for all in the name of Christ by responding to basic human needs and working for peace and justice." For more information on the work of MCC please visit http://www.mcc.org or call our head office in Abbotsford at 1-888-622-6337.

Your thrift haul can help create lasting change.

In southeastern Zimbabwe, Patricia received a loan through her local village savings and loan association to build a borehole and irrigation system at her home. With reliable access to water, she's growing maize and building resilience in the face of climate change.

Support for projects like this is made possible through MCC. Every donation, purchase and volunteer hour at MCC Thrift helps support local and global initiatives that strengthen communities around the world. 💚

On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, MCC honours residential school Survivors and their families, who have suffered so much harm from Canada’s IRS system. In alignment with TRC Calls to Action 59 and 60, MCC supports educational and peacebuilding work such as the KAIROS Blanket Exercise, to teach a truer history of Canada, including governmental and church roles in the colonization of this land.

Every thrifted purchase, donated item and volunteer hour helps create a ripple effect of impact.

MCC Thrift shops help support initiatives like Grow Hope in Manitoba, where farmers and families work together to grow food and raise funds for food assistance programs around the world. It's a reminder that when we come together, acts of generosity can reach into our own communities and beyond.

Thank you for helping put love into action through your support of MCC Thrift. ❤️
