We would love to share with you that we officially completed the installation of two modular homes in Lytton, BC. These homes represent a vital step in rebuilding and restoring what was lost during the forest fires.

This achievement was made possible with our partnership with First Nations Housing and Infrastructure Council Reaching Home Program, and Abide Developer.

If you are looking for a way to provide immediate, high-quality housing in your community, we would love to share more about how our financing and how these available units can help.

-4 Modular/Tiny Homes Available: We have four high-quality units ready to be deployed.
-Flexible Use Case: These are perfect as permanent residences or as community rentals to increase housing stock.
-Subsidy & Financing: To make this as accessible as possible, Anhart is offering generous subsidies and financing help to partners looking to install these homes.
-Proven Solutions: Like our work in Lytton, these homes are designed for dignity, stability, and quick implementation.

And please follow us! We have more exciting affordable housing projects to share with you soon!

Progress in development is often about the small, incremental steps.

This week, the team visited Hope and Merritt to check on the Kwas House site and fix up our signage. We are planning to break ground this year on this 14-unit affordable housing project in Hope, BC, designed specifically for seniors and adults with cognitive disabilities.

Visit https://kwashouse.org/ and https://anhart.ca/projects/kwas-house to learn more about the project.

Keith Gordon (Founder of Anhart) spoke with CBC about the fire at the historic Sutherland hotel. Despite the loss, he’s pushing forward with a $20M plan to build 69 affordable micro-suites on the site to help "turn the tide" on homelessness in Winnipeg.

Turning a challenge into a new beginning. ✨

One year ago today, a fire took the historic Sutherland Hotel. Today, we stand on that same ground at 785 Main St with a renewed promise: to build affordable housing for Winnipeggers.

The path hasn't been easy, but our commitment hasn't changed. We’re looking forward to a future where everyone has a safe place to call home.

Welcome to our community! 🏠✨

A huge thank you to everyone who has recently followed Anhart. We are so grateful to have you with us as we work toward our goal of building 20,000 affordable homes across Canada.

Many of you have asked: How does Anhart actually work? And how do we keep housing truly affordable for the long term?

We believe in the "Power of Small." Instead of massive, impersonal high-rises, we focus on "hyper-local" projects that act as vital cells within a neighborhood. Here are the two "secret ingredients" to our model:

The "Robin Hood" Model: We often include small commercial spaces (like a local cafe or grocery) on the ground floor. The revenue from these market-rate businesses is used to "cross-subsidize" the apartments above. This ensures rents stay low even as the market shifts.

Patient Capital & Partnerships: We work with impact investors and local non-profits who prioritize community well-being over quick profits. By using innovative modular construction, we build faster and more cost-effectively.

Spotlight: Hope Village 🏔️ One of our favorite success stories is our project in Hope, BC (The Ryder). It was the first purpose-built rental in the area in 30 years! It’s more than just a building—it’s a community where tenants hold leadership roles and support one another.

Thank you for being part of the solution to the housing crisis. Let’s keep building together!

Anhart is a non-profit on a mission to make homeownership nationwide. We are planning a new townhome community right here in the Madawaska Valley, and we’d love to share our vision with you. We are proud to be partnering with local leaders to form https://www.best4life.ca/

📍 The Location: Our proposed site is at 6 Siberia Rd, Barry's Bay, ON ideally located right next to Kamaniskeg Lake and the St. Francis Memorial Hospital.

What does "home" look like to you? Before we finalize our plans, we want to hear from first-time buyers, families, and downsizers. Your feedback helps us shape this community for you.

Big things are happening in Leduc, Alberta! We are thrilled to announce that Anhart is partnering with the Leduc Community Living Association (LCLA) to develop a permanent, 20-home accessible building. This project is dedicated to providing high-quality housing for residents with developmental disabilities.

While Leduc is one of the fastest-growing cities in Alberta, the shortage of available land remains a significant hurdle. We believe that Community Champions are the key to unlocking these opportunities.

The Problem: A Silent Crisis Did you know that over 70% of hypothermia deaths among the unhoused occur during "moderate" winter weather—before extreme cold alerts even trigger?

With 35,000+ Canadians unhoused on any given night and shelters operating at max capacity, concrete encampments are becoming a dangerous default.

The Solution: Dignity by Design At Anhart, we aren’t just building shelters; we are building stability. (See image below: From the harsh reality of the street to a warm, furnished interior)

Our modular tiny homes bridge the gap between temporary mats and permanent residency. They offer what a sleeping bag cannot: security, heat, and a locking door—at a fraction of the cost of traditional construction.

The Implementation: Speed & Scalability We are answering the call for rapid infrastructure by removing the wait time:
✅ Prefabricated Off-Site: Built for Canadian winters in controlled environments.
✅ Plug-and-Play: Delivered fully furnished (bed, desk, storage).
✅ Adaptive Use: We activate vacant land now, turning empty lots into safe communities instantly.

The Ask: This is how we turn "surviving the winter" into "living with dignity."
