Beginning this fall, UBC students experiencing food insecurity will be able to access supports directly through campus health-care providers as part of a new food prescription program.

The program is one of three UBC food security initiatives supported by a $3.5-million gift from RBC, its largest donation ever to a post-secondary institution. The gift will also support sustainable agriculture training for farmers, producers and industry.

Together, these efforts aim to improve student wellbeing while building a more resilient food system.

$3.5M gift from RBC will also support sustainable agriculture training and resources for B.C. farmers.

This is what’s possible when learning is powered by purpose—and support.

At UBC, students are helping small and medium-sized businesses reduce emissions and build more sustainable operations through the SME Climate Clinic, supported by BMO.

It’s hands-on education creating real-world climate impact—today and into the future.

At UBC Sauder, the BMO SME Climate Clinic equips students with climate skills—and helps small businesses cut emissions, stay competitive and thrive.
