We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society and the launch of Safe Harbour: Homes with Heart, with Hope.
Safe Harbour is a transformative transitional housing program offering youth aged 16 to 30 and young moms a safe home in Surrey, with wraparound supports including individualized case management, mental health supports, employment and education pathways, and life skills programming.

This program prioritizes Indigenous, Black, racialized, newcomer, and 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and young mothers who disproportionately face barriers to housing and stability.

We believe safe, stable housing is foundational. It is where young people can heal, belong, and build hopeful futures. We are proud to work alongside DIVERSEcity, an organization that shares our values and our commitment to the young people we serve. 💛

This initiative is funded through the Reaching Home Program, Canada's Homelessness Strategy, administered locally by Lu'ma Native Housing Society in partnership with Vancity Community Foundation.

Rewind’s inclusive, supportive, and generous approach has made a real difference in helping young people build confidence, develop skills, and take important steps toward their goals. Partnerships like this remind us how powerful community collaboration can be.

What does it look like to truly prepare a young person for life on their own?

Our Youth Housing Year Intensive Program is designed to answer exactly that question. For youth between the ages of 16 and 24 who are aging out of care, this program offers so much more than a roof overhead.

Through three program stages, youth build the routines, habits, and confidence they need to take on the world. And when they leave? They take their furniture, their savings, and a permanent connection to our community with them.

There is something special about getting your hands in the soil together. 🌱🌷

Our community recently gathered with our ambassador, Hassan J, for a gardening event, and it was exactly the kind of afternoon that reminds us why we do what we do. Laughter, fresh air, teamwork, and a whole lot of heart.

Moments like these are at the core of our village model: building connection, nurturing growth, and creating the kind of memories that last long after the day is done.

Housing should feel like home. 🏡

We are thrilled to share that two of our houses have been completely transformed through full renovations for our youth.
These spaces have been updated with our youth in mind, because every young person in our care deserves a space that is safe, warm, and truly theirs.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this possible. These are more than just renovated rooms. They are places where our youth can breathe, grow, and feel like they belong.

For a young person in care, a ride to an appointment, a program, or a new experience can change everything. It is a small thing that means the world. 💛

We are raising $120,000 to purchase a new 15-passenger van to keep showing up for the children and youth in our village community. 🚐
