Dementia Gardens: A Place to Grow Open House is happening this Friday, 2:00 - 4:00 PM, at the Greenhouse at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay. You are all invited! 😍

Our Dementia Gardens Open House is this Friday, June 12th (2–4 PM) at the LU Greenhouse! Come tour the space, enjoy free snacks and drinks, and learn about our Adult Day Program.

🎁 Bonus: Everyone who attends will be entered to win some fantastic door prizes!

As a Thunder Bay initiative, we are so glad to announce that the Dementia Gardens Adult Day Program is officially starting, and we invite you to join us at the Open House to learn more about this wonderful new program!

Join us for a lovely afternoon at our beautiful community greenhouse! Come explore the space, meet our friendly team, and learn all about the Dementia Gardens Adult Day Program.

🍃Join us for our Winter Sowing Workshop at Lakehead University Greenhouse!

We’re preparing for Dementia Gardening together — planting seeds, learning winter sowing techniques, and enjoying time in community. A few spots are still available (maximum 15 participants).

People living with dementia and care partners are warmly welcome. Snacks provided and lots of fun guaranteed.

🌿 Welcome Spring with a Gentle Nature Walk 🌿

Join us for a relaxed one-hour nature walk in Pacific Spirit Park Forest in Vancouver, BC, with our University of British Columbia team, followed by lunch with coffee, tea, and food (weather permitting). This inclusive, community-focused walk is open to individuals, families, friends, and memory buddies, including those living with memory loss or dementia.

✨ The focus is on connection, movement, and enjoying nature together at an easy, unhurried pace. The walk is part of a broader research project on outdoor programs and well-being, but there is no pressure to participate in research—you’re welcome to simply join and enjoy the experience.
