UBC Free Store

UBC Free Store The UBC Free Store is, like, a store where everything is free. Actually, it's exactly that. Run through donations and volunteer labour.

The Free Store is founded upon the ideal of cooperation rather than competition. We don't think the basic things of life such as clothes, books, etc. should be sold for a profit, but available to everyone. Instead of being complicit in the face of an excessively waste producing consumerist society, we provide a space for people to get rid of items they no longer need, to then be taken by those who

do need them. As the saying goes, "one person's trash is another person's not-trash." We are currently located in Room 2102 of the Nest.
