The Scripted Series Lab is a full-time, 15-week curriculum designed to polish and prepare candidates for entry-level writer positions on a series. Thank you to Floyd Kane, Showrunner-in-Residence, for leading a successful 2026 cohort, and to the six writers—Ryan Bright, Lucia Frangione, James Howells, Brenna Kwon, Jongyoon Greg Choi, and Richard Young—congratulations on all your hard work, both in the room and on stage.

The program is bolstered by exceptional training from Laura Good (Script Coordination), Pilar Alessandra (Pitch Presentation), and Toby Marks (Pitch Deck Design). Each Scripted Series Lab writer is paired with a seasoned industry professional — thank you to Sonja Bennett, Rachel Langer, Michael MacLennan, Will Pascoe, Naren Shankar, Damon Vignale for coaching and supporting the cohort on their personal projects.

It all culminates with a pitch showcase at the Vancouver Scripted Summit. Presented by the PSP, the Summit is BC's day-long scripted domestic industry event, bringing writers, producers, buyers and decision-makers together for a day of meetings and panel discussions.

Thank you to our sponsors, Paramount+, Canada Media Fund, and Creative BC, for their generous and continued support of BC talent.
