Wishing you all good health, peace, love, and joy during this new year, and always. We have had such incredible development with our new script for our project ‘Breaking Vicious Cycles’. The collaboration between diverse youth writers, myself as lead playwright, artists, and script consultants is so inspiring. As I reflect on what got us here, I am incredibly grateful to our funders who believe in the work we do. Creating plays with youth and professional artists to promote awareness, dialogue, wellness, and positive social change about issues facing youth, involves care, dedication, in-depth communication, and artistic process to access diverse perspectives. We would not be able to engage in this process with over 140 youth without the support and commitment from the Johansen Larsen Foundation. I had the pleasure of meeting JLF President Marianne Larsen. Our shared values and belief in the importance for youth to be heard is very meaningful. Thank you for being an advocate for Some Assembly. – Valerie
