Thank you to Trevor Sprague, the U17 and U18 Cariboo Cougars, and their coaching staffs for an incredible night. Pink in the Rink nights for both teams. Proceeds from the chuck-a-puck went to the Foundation from both games, with a large donation from Taba as well!

We are honoured to be apart of this community, and can’t wait for what’s to come in the future.

From his first Prince George Cougars Hockey Club game at two months old to honourary puck drops and fierce mini-stick battles, the late Mavrik Turnbull’s cancer journey struck a chord with stars of the game.

I’ll fight for you and all the other kids who got a funeral instead of a birthday. Who spent their birthdays on isolation in a hospital room. Who don’t get to start this school year in their own community. Who celebrate the wins of good blood counts instead of trophies in hockey tournaments. And the kids who are given medicine to bring them to the brink of death to try and bring them back again.

Hi everyone, just a gentle reminder that Mavrik’s celebration of life is this upcoming Saturday in Prince George. We are trying to figure out a way to live stream and will share those details once they are confirmed.

This is open to the public and we are hoping to fill the stands. Even if you didn’t know Mavrik, we appreciate you coming and hearing about childhood cancer and the impact Mavrik has had on our community. And of course the skate from 5:30-6:30.
