What an incredible day at the Vancouver Aboriginal Health Society Father’s Day Pow Wow! ❤️

Today we welcomed families, dancers, drummers, vendors, Elders, and community members together to celebrate Father’s Day and National Indigenous Peoples Day in a good way.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make this event possible. From our Executive Director, staff, volunteers, cultural leaders, vendors, security, traffic control, and all of our community partners, this event was truly a team effort.

It was wonderful to see the arena filled with dancers of all ages, hear the songs of the drums, and watch community members gather in celebration, connection, and culture. The smiles, laughter, and support shown throughout the day are what make events like this so meaningful.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped create such a welcoming and positive atmosphere. We are grateful for the opportunity to bring community together and celebrate Indigenous cultures, traditions, and families.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make today a success. We hope to see you again next year. ❤️

✨ This Week in Culture ✨

Join us June 15–19 for another week of creativity, connection, and cultural teachings at VAHS. The June Calendar is pinned to the top of our page for all our culture programming this month.

This week we’ll be making leather earrings, West Coast regalia banners and flags, medicine pouches, talking circle, pow wow rattles, and finishing up ongoing projects together.

As we gather throughout the week, we’ll also be preparing for our Father’s Day Pow Wow on Sunday, June 21. We look forward to seeing community members come together in a good way as we get ready for this special celebration.

Culture is medicine. All are welcome. ❤️
