Crazy8s, founded in 1999 by the DGC BC who is our Presented By sponsor, continues to prove its reputation as the premiere short filmmaking event on the Vancouver film scene. Filmmakers are invited to pitch their short film ideas to a jury of film professionals. 6 are chosen. Those 6 filmmaking teams have 8 days, $1000, and a professional film package to make their short films. 133 have been made to date. Finished films are screened in-person at a Gala to the who's who of the Vancouver film industry this year on May 7, 2022. Check out http://crazy8s.film/ for more info
