“Jesus never mentioned homosexuality.”

It’s a statement often used to suggest that Jesus either approved of same-sex relationships or that Christians should no longer view them through the lens of historic biblical sexual ethics.

But does silence actually equal endorsement?

As followers of Jesus, we’re called to look not only at what He didn’t say, but at what He did say—about Scripture, discipleship, holiness, marriage, and the purpose of our bodies.

The question isn’t simply, ‘Did Jesus mention homosexuality?’ The deeper question is, ‘What vision of human flourishing, sexuality, and covenant relationship did Jesus affirm?

Time for a walk & talk.

Should we take this month as an opportunity to speak boldly on Gods design for sexuality and identity?…1000% YES!

Annnd!…we need to be thinking strategically about how we as leaders and pastor can do a better job of preaching on these topics throughout the year. It’s laughable to think that people’s struggles with sexuality would be limited to one month so why should our preaching on it be?

Shame and seshual brokenness run hand in hand. Unfortunately, when we stay in the dark about our own unique struggles the shame only intensifies. This fuels a cycle that keeps people from being able to experience how the Lord meets us in that place of vulnerability and honest disclosure.

We often hear the word desire and immediately think of temptation, lust, or something to suppress. And yes, desire can be distorted—but what if that’s not the whole story?

We are only two months out from this years Called Conference! 🙌🏻

This is going to be a powerful time as we encounter the presence of God and be equipped in His Word to carry it to our generation. We are living in a time of deep cultural s@xual brokenness and God is CALLING a people who are willing to bring the hope of redemption in Christ and the beauty of His design to their world.
