Pacific International Youth Music Society Expansion and 2026 Competitive Solo Festival!
The Pacific International Youth Music Society is thrilled to celebrate our upcoming expansion! To better serve our artistic mission and accommodate our growing community, we are expanding the Festival into two separate events: the Competitive Solo Festival and the Gala Challenge Competition.
The Competitive Solo Festival (November 2026)
We are officially expanding our categories to include piano, violin, viola, and cello this year!
All classes are based on the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) syllabi, featuring Competitive Divisions that span from Preparatory through ARCT and LRCM. In addition to the standard solo categories, we are pleased to include a Concert Duo class at each level. The festival is available both in-person and online via video submission, with memorization remaining mandatory for all competitive entries.
We are honored to welcome our esteemed panel of adjudicators for these classes:
- Alana Chan: Competitive Piano Solo (Preparatory to Level 8)
- Dr. Bogdan Dulu: Competitive Piano Solos (Level 9 to LRCM)
- David Lakirovich: Competitive Violin & Viola Solos (All Levels)
- Kevin Park: Competitive Cello Solos (All Levels)
The Gala Challenge Competition (February 2027)
