Ally Global Foundation Ally is a Canadian charity dedicated to preventing child s*x trafficking and exploitation and providing long-term care to survivors.

Around the world, women and children are being exploited and abused by human traffickers. When victims are rescued, they need a safe place to heal. Without these safe spaces, survivors struggle to heal from trauma, and they are vulnerable to re-exploitation and abuse. At Ally, we work to prevent human trafficking and help survivors find healing through safe housing, education and aftercare. When survivors are supported through long-term care, they can build healthy, independent futures.

This Anti-Human Trafficking Training was developed in partnership with Covenant House Vancouver for those working with young people, who may be experiencing exploitation. This training will share the basics of human trafficking in Canada and provide practical guidance to apply your skills to youth impacted by this crime. Through the training you will learn what human trafficking looks like and how to respond effectively.

We’re grateful to share an update on Nuon’s* court case in Cambodia.

This has been a long and difficult road. After the accused appealed the court decision for a third time, Nuon* was asked to return to court, face her abuser again, and retell her story once more.

For a survivor who is still healing, this was an incredibly heavy request.

Our team advocated strongly for Nuon* to be granted a leave of absence so she would not have to go through that emotional stress and trauma again. Thankfully, the judge approved the request, and Nuon* did not have to appear in court this time.

During the process, the line of questioning was deeply troubling and re-traumatizing, including questions no survivor should have to face. Our team stood beside Nuon* and continued to advocate for her dignity, safety, and well-being.

Today, we are grateful to share that a verdict has been made. The accused has been convicted and sentenced to 10 years in prison.

We are thankful justice has been served, and we continue to stand with Nuon* as she moves forward in her healing journey.
