What a sweet day! 🐝 This past Saturday, our Bee Team and an amazing group of volunteers came together for our 2026 honey harvest—and what a harvest it was!

We spent the day harvesting and packaging this year’s honey into jars. Fresh, local, and harvested right here at CityReach. 🍯✨

A huge thank you to our beekeepers and volunteers for all the time, care, and hard work that went into this year’s CityReach Bees. We couldn’t do it without you! 🖤

Our honey is now sold out for the season, but you can help support next year’s harvest by learning more about Adopt-A-Bee at cityreach.org/adoptabee! 🐝

Here’s to another sweet season with CityReach Bees. Stay tuned! 🌸🍯

💙 Every story matters. Every life matters.

During Club Freedom’s 25th anniversary celebration in late May, Yaried shared a glimpse of his journey and the impact Club Freedom has had on his life. His story is a powerful reminder that behind every person is a unique journey, and every journey is an opportunity for hope, connection, and transformation.

Through Club Freedom, we’ve had the privilege of coming alongside Yaried, building meaningful relationships, and reminding him that he is seen, valued, and never alone.

Because sometimes, the greatest impact comes from simply showing up, walking alongside someone, and being part of their story.

Thank you, Yaried, for sharing your story with us. 💙

F O O D R E C O V E R Y 👀 What happens when good food meets a community that cares?

It gets rescued.
It gets sorted.
It gets shared.
And it gets onto tables where it’s needed most.
🍎🥕🍋🍓

At CityReach, food recovery is about more than preventing good food from going to waste. It’s about nourishing people, building community and creating access to fresh, healthy food with dignity.

Every year, we rescue 1.5+ million pounds of surplus food and help nourish thousands of people across the Lower Mainland.

And we couldn’t do it without the food donors, volunteers, partners and supporters who make it possible. 💙

Together, we’re helping people prosper….one rescued meal, one family and one community at a time.

O U T R E A C H 🙌🏻

Every two weeks, we go to the East Side to bring some hope to the streets.

We love this city, and every person there counts! 🤍
We believe every smile, every meal, and every interaction is an open door for change to happen.

Thank you to every person involved who makes these moments possible. We’ve had the opportunity to witness recovery and life transformation, and it all starts with an interaction and a little bit of HOPE.💙

What exactly is a food hub?

When we think about food insecurity, it’s easy to focus only on the food itself. But there’s so much that happens behind the scenes to make sure fresh, nutritious food gets from where it’s available to the people and families who need it most.

At CityReach, we work alongside farmers, food producers, grocery partners, volunteers, and community organizations to help
rescue, organize, and redistribute food throughout our community.

Through programs like Food For Families and our work with the
Vancouver Food Recovery Network, we’re helping create stronger connections across the food system — reducing waste while increasing access to fresh and nutritious food.

It takes collaboration to make this possible. Every food donor, volunteer, partner, and supporter plays an important role in helping move good food to where it can make the biggest impact.

More food rescued. Less food wasted. More people supported.

Because when we work together, we can build a food system that helps more people access the food they need.
