Space for this course is very limited. Registration will be confirmed on a first-paid, first-served basis.

If your certificate has already expired, or will expire before the training date, please contact the office at [email protected] in advance. An additional fee of $30 + GST will be required, and the office will arrange the necessary online training for you. This online training takes approximately 8 hours to complete. Once the online training has been completed, you will be eligible to attend the July 5 recertification course.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at [email protected].

Had you noticed? Did you know things have changed since the original CCHPBC Professional Standards were released?
CCHPBC has revised its Professional Standards: Record-Keeping document regarding clinical charting language. Licensees are now once again permitted to chart in a language other than English, with the responsibility to pay for professional translation to English if records are required.
This update follows feedback from across the ATCMA and the TCM profession during the November 2025 consultation period, when concerns were raised about the practicality of an English-only charting requirement for many practitioners.
ATCMA will continue sharing updates to help members stay informed about important regulatory changes and what they mean in day-to-day practice.

Did you know that if a patient is injured in a motor vehicle crash while working, WorkSafeBC is generally considered the first payer—not ICBC?
ATCMA is sharing an important clarification for practitioners to help reduce billing issues, treatment delays, and confusion for patients. The blog also includes helpful intake questions clinics can add to better identify workplace-related crashes early in the process.
As part of our ongoing work with ICBC, ATCMA continues to provide members with updates, clarification, and support on insurance and coverage matters affecting TCM practitioners across BC.

Thank you to for your ongoing support of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

We had a warm and positive meeting to discuss the work the ATCMA is doing to advocate for better coverage of TCM services under MSP Supplemental Benefits, the return of our restricted activity of prescribing Chinese herbal formulas, and the modernization and expansion of our scope of practice.

The ATCMA appreciates that we are not alone in these efforts, and we remain committed to building a stronger future for TCM across BC. A stronger TCM profession benefits not only practitioners, but also the public. TCM professionals help patients manage pain, injuries, chronic health conditions, and overall wellness — reducing pressure on our healthcare system and improving access to care for British Columbians.

We look forward to continuing these important conversations and advocacy efforts for the future of TCM in BC.
