Apply to be our Stage Manager (Student Work Placement) 2026✨

The Community Arts Council of Vancouver (CACV) is seeking a Stage Manager (Student Work Placement) who works directly with the Head of Programs and Operations to support performances at the Vancouver Outsider Arts Festival (VOAF). Festival dates are October 16-18, 2026. The festival takes place at the Roundhouse Community Centre in Downtown Vancouver. You’ll be part of a team that values collaboration, creativity and supporting our community artists. As an organization, we are committed to pay living wage for all staff and contractors 🎉

Compensation: Rate at $23 per hour for approximately 120 hours from July to October 2026.

The Vancouver Outsider Arts Festival provides opportunities for exhibition, performance, connection and learning to visual and performing artists facing social exclusion and other barriers, the Vancouver Outsider Arts Festival is Canada’s first and only festival for Outsider Art. The artists may be self-taught or trained: they are all devoted to their creative practices, and come from a point of view that is outside the mainstream art world trends.

The Community Arts Council of Vancouver (CACV) is seeking a Marketing & Communications Coordinator (Student Work Placement) who works directly with the Head of Programs and Operations to support marketing and communications for the Vancouver Outsider Arts Festival (VOAF). Key details include strategy, campaign development, content creation and digital engagement, media and public relations, analytics evaluation and reporting.

We strongly encourage applicants of all genders, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, abilities and with a range of life experiences to apply - your lived experience, as it relates to our work, will be valued.

This role is funded by the Student Work Placement Program. The SWP program objective is to connect students and Canadian cultural sector employers for meaningful work placements that apply and/or develop skills.

Compensation: Rate at $25.85 per hour for 240 hours from July 6 to December 31, 2026.

The deadline for applications is June 17, 2026 at 5PM.

Want to join our team? We are hiring a Special Events Coordinator & Marketing Assistant who will support the marketing, communications, and publicity of the upcoming Vancouver Outsider Arts Festival taking place in October 2026.

We strongly encourage applicants of all genders, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, abilities and with a range of life experiences to apply - your lived experience, as it relates to our work, will be valued.

This position is part of the Canada Summer Jobs Program, funded by Service Canada.

Expected start date: June 29, 2026 (full-time at 35 hours per week)

We are recruiting a Board Treasurer and Members at Large to support the mission and vision of CACV.

Over this past year the CACV Board has transitioned to a working board, and we are looking for enthusiastic and engaged board members to support community arts in Vancouver.

The CACV working Board is responsible for operational support, programs planning, fundraising and grant writing for the organization. We are looking for active members who are willing to do sub-committee work as well as be a part of larger board meetings. We are seeking a diverse and inclusive group of members who will work together as a governing body.

We are committed to improving accessibility, equity, and inclusion throughout our organization, and people of all backgrounds are encouraged to consider this opportunity to serve as creative citizens.

💥Call for Artist-in-Residence & Workshop Facilitator💥

The Community Arts Council of Vancouver (CACV) invites applications from Vancouver-based artists to apply for Artist-in-Residence and Workshop Facilitator at the McBride Fieldhouse (2049 Waterloo St., Vancouver, BC).

The McBride Fieldhouse is a newly activated community-arts space in McBride Park, Vancouver. Over the period 2025-2027, we’re offering a free, low-barrier space for artists to engage and activate the site through studio work, exhibitions, public programming and workshops.
