Phoenix is still costing workers and the public. Although Treasury Board may want it to, sweeping these costs under the rug won’t make them go away. PSAC calls on the federal government to continue collecting and releasing Phoenix pay system data for them to be held accountable for the ongoing work on Phoenix, and to ensure a successful transition to a new system.

PSAC-UTE activists convened at their first RMCC Mini Mobilization Summit last weekend to organize, build solidarity, and develop strategies to support bargaining.

The team heard from PSAC negotiator Morgan Gay, REVP Jamey Mills, and RCMP liaison Sgt. Dave Smith, along with a media training session to help members prepare for the road ahead.

Now we need everyone to show their support.

How did the saying go again? Oh right: no plan, no study.

PSAC will not stand by while CFIA attempts to avoid its legal responsibilities. Pay equity is a basic right, and these payments are meant to compensate workers for years of being underpaid.

The Pay Equity Commissioner has officially begun reviewing PSAC's bad-faith complaint against the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

Workers have the right to strike and bargain collectively. These rights lead to better working conditions, improved family lives, and stronger communities.

Section 107 must be repealed, workers must be respected.
