Canada SCORES is a non-profit youth development organization aimed to help youth through a unique combination of community service, poetry and soccer in an after-school program. Canada SCORES Vancouver is a first of its kind charity in Canada, mirroring a very successful America SCORES youth program that is active in 15 American cities founded in 1994. It com

bines community service, poetry and soccer in an after-school program. We are offering opportunities to support this program through corporate partnerships, donations, volunteerism and general activity.

From our community to the world stage.

We’re proud to share that 286 Poet-Athletes from Canada SCORES will be part of the FIFA World Cup Player Es**rt Program at FWC26Toronto and Vancouver.

Participants were identified through our community in recognition of the role they already play here and the values, commitment and contribution they show every day.

Across the tournament, they’ll walk onto the pitch alongside some of the biggest soccer players in the world, a huge moment for them and for our wider community too.

This opportunity is part of a wider program supported by Quaker and Common Goal, connecting young people from communities across the United States and Canada to FIFA World Cup 26.

Today, the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund awarded grants to its first group of community-based organizations providing children with access to quality education and sports — and Canada SCORES is one of those grantees!

Today we say goodbye to someone who has left a lasting mark on Canada SCORES.
After 5.5 incredible years, Sarah, our National Manager of Programs & Community Impact, is moving on to their next chapter. During their time with us, they have been a driving force behind the growth and impact of our programs—supporting communities across the country, championing the voices of our Poet-Athletes, and helping shape the heart of what we do.
Their leadership, care, and deep commitment to young people have touched so many—staff, coaches, and participants alike. They have helped build programs that not only inspire, but truly empower youth to find their voice, build confidence, and feel a sense of belonging.
Sarah, thank you for your passion, your vision, and the countless ways you’ve strengthened Canada SCORES. Your impact will be felt for years to come.

We’ve received Canadian Women & Sport’s Spotlight Grant!  This grant funds initiatives that remove barriers and expand opportunities for girls, women, and gender-diverse participants in sport.

The goal of our initiative is to continue to remove barriers to for these groups and provide more access to our free after-school programs.

The Spotlight Grant is part of the Community Sport for All initiative. This project has been made possible in part by the Government of Canada.  .EN Nous avons reçu une subvention Focus de Femmes et sport au Canada! Nous avons reçu une subvention Focus de Femmes et sport au Canada! Cette subvention finance des initiatives qui éliminent les obstacles et élargissent les possibilités pour les filles, les femmes et les participants de genre différent dans le sport!

L’objectif de notre initiative est de continuer à éliminer les obstacles auxquels ces groupes sont confrontés et de leur offrir un meilleur accès à nos programmes parascolaires gratuits.

La subvention Focus fait partie de l’initiative Le sport communautaire pour tous. Ce projet a été rendu possible en partie par le gouvernement du Canada. .FR
