Looking Glass Foundation for Eating Disorders

Looking Glass Foundation for Eating Disorders Looking Glass strives to support individuals struggling with eating disorders. We understand the journey and we are here to help.

We offer innovative and accessible programs and services that decrease isolation, instill hope, and sustain recovery. We are also home to the Looking Glass Residence, which is included in British Columbia’s Continuum of Care for Eating Disorders and supports medically-stable youth (17-18 years old) and young adults (19-24 years old) in their recovery from Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, or EDNO

S. Truly residential, residents receive 24/7 care in a fully licensed and homelike environment. This residential treatment centre is an initiative of the not-for-profit Looking Glass Foundation and works closely with health care, community, and post-secondary partners. To find out more about the Looking Glass Residence, please contact us toll free at 1-888-980-5874 or email us at [email protected].

Some days, recovery looks like getting out of bed. Some days, it looks like sending one text. Some days, it looks like simply making it through.

You don't have to earn rest. You don't have to justify your pace. Recovery isn't a straight line, and your effort is valid at every point along the way.

Wherever you are today, we see you. And we're proud of you 🫢

The mental load of an eating disorder is invisible to most people... but we see it 😌

That constant negotiating, the exhaustion behind a simple moment like opening the fridge... it's real, and it matters.

Looking Glass exists to help quiet that noise. Through our Hand In Hand peer support program and Bridge the Gap low-cost counselling, we walk alongside you at every stage of recovery.

You don't have to carry this alone 🫢

Behind every program, every call answered, every person who finally felt heard... there's a team that shows up because they deeply, personally mean it ❀️

πŸ’¬ "You don't look like you have an eating disorder."

Sound familiar? You're not alone.

Only about 6% of people with eating disorders are medically classified as underweight.* That means the vast majority of people struggling look just like everyone else and that invisibility can make it so much harder to ask for help or feel like you "deserve" support.

At Looking Glass, we offer free peer support and low-cost counselling.

If you've been carrying this alone, you already know how heavy it gets ❀️

Telling even one person, a friend, a family member, anyone, is one of the bravest things you can do. And if that one person leads you to us? We will show up for you. Every single time.

That is our promise. 🀍

Looking Glass offers free peer support and low-cost counselling for anyone navigating an eating disorder, at any stage of their journey. No waitlists for peer support. No "sick enough" threshold.
