🌙🚶‍♂️ KOM Volunteers Keeping Our Community Safe — Even at Night! 💙

Our dedicated KOM volunteers continue to patrol our community, keeping a visible presence even after the sun goes down. 🌃 Through their commitment and teamwork, they help promote awareness, encourage safety, and remind everyone that caring for our community is a shared responsibility.

✨ Why is night patrolling important?

💙 Peace of mind — Reassures residents that people care about their community.

🙌 How can YOU help?

Keep your surroundings well-lit whenever possible.
Get to know your neighbors and look out for one another.
Support and appreciate our hardworking volunteers.

👀 Stay alert. Stay aware. Protect your belongings. 🔒

Our volunteers are out in the community raising awareness about distraction thefts and simple ways to stay safe:

📱 Keep valuables secure and in sight 🚫 Don’t let strangers into your personal space ⚠️ Be cautious of unusual distractions or approaches 🚶 Step away if something feels suspicious 📞 Call 911 for emergencies

Small reminders can make a big difference. Let’s look out for one another! 💙

🚗💨 Speed Watch at Musqueam!

KOM CPC is proud to support our community partners in promoting safer roads and encouraging everyone to slow down and drive responsibly. Our volunteers were out at Musqueam helping raise awareness about the risks of speeding and keeping our roads safer for everyone. ❤️

Speeding isn’t just dangerous, it can also come with serious consequences. Depending on the offence, drivers may face fines, penalty points, increased insurance costs, or even a driving prohibition.

Slow down. Stay alert. Get there safely. 🚦

Throwback to FDU Connect Day on September 29! 📸

A big thank you to Fairleigh Dickinson University - Vancouver Campus for having us! It was a pleasure meeting so many students who were interested in getting involved and giving back to the community through volunteering with KOM CPC.

Ever seen people in those reflective KOM CPC vests and jackets out in the community? 👀 You’ll find our volunteers helping community members, keeping an eye out for local concerns, supporting community events, conducting patrols, and so much more.

🧡 Kerrisdale Oakridge Marpole Community Centre came together to honour National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We took the time to remember the children who never returned home, honour Survivors, and reflect on the lasting impact of residential schools. We believe reconciliation begins with listening, learning, remembering, and coming together as a community. 🧡

We honour the past, support healing, and continue to take steps toward a more understanding and inclusive future.

📱❌ It can wait. Your safety can’t.

KOM CPC partnered with Vancouver Police Department and ICBC to help raise awareness about distracted driving.

Rain, reduced visibility, and busy crossings make it even more important to stay focused behind the wheel. 🌧️🚗

A $368 ticket is a costly reminder, but the real goal is preventing crashes and keeping everyone safe.

Put the phone away. Stay focused. Drive safe. Get home safely.
