ICYMI: The Province has paused the planned expansion of PST to professional and other services.

The expansion was set to take effect Oct. 1, 2026. For the non-profit housing sector, the pause will help ease pressure on development and operating costs at a time when affordability challenges remain acute.

Importantly, the expansion has been paused, not cancelled, and could move forward as fiscal and trade conditions evolve.

BCNPHA will continue advocating for a non-profit exemption to the PST expansion and will keep members informed as new details emerge.
