Josh Roberts will be returning as bandleader for Vancouver Balboa Mini Fest 2026! Josh is a killer guitar player, arranger, and bandleader who has played at many dance events Camp Jitterbug, Big Sky Weekend, Portland Lindy Exchange, Northwest Balboa Festival, and Lindy Bout. We are delighted to have him back!

From when I started 2008 to 2010, the home of swing dancing in Vancouver was the Commercial Drive Legion. You could find me there almost every Saturday night, and it was the site of many milestones in my dancing career: my first time making finals in both lindy hop and balboa competitions and my first team competition.

So I am especially thrilled that we'll be holding Vancouver Balboa Mini Fest 2026 here! In addition to the many memories, the Legion has a beautiful sprung wood floor, and is in a great location right by the Commercial SkyTrain Station with tons of great restaurants & ships nearby.
