Asahi Baseball Association The Asahi Baseball Association, dedicated to creating healthy communities through baseball. Inspired by the legacy of the Asahi Baseball Team Let’s Play Ball!

The Canadian Nikkei Youth Baseball Club is dedicated to creating healthy communities through the game of baseball. Inspired by the legacy of the Asahi Baseball team (1914-1941), for their skill, perseverance and accomplishments, it has been our collective dream to bring back the Asahi Baseball Team to the Nikkei Community and Canada. We hope to organize exhibition games with other baseball teams i

n Canada and the USA. We will also organize an ongoing high school baseball exchange program with a Japanese junior high school. But mostly, we want to create a supportive and fun environment using baseball to give our youth new and exciting opportunities. Our club is open to people of all ages, without regard to gender, and ethnic origin or residency, or nationalities. If you are interested in learning more about us and joining with us, please contact one of our founding members: Emiko Ando; Josh Coward; Tomio Fukumura and Sammy Takahashi.

Asahi night at Nat Bailey Stadium. On Tues may 13th, the Vancouver Canadians will be wearing replica Asahi jerseys as they take on the Aquasox. There will be Asian themed food trucks, taiko drums, and a chance to buy Asahi Baseball merchandise.
