Legion XIII Gemina

Legion XIII Gemina Legion XIII Gemina is a theatrical Roman reenactment group based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The group is made up of Roman enthusiasts who enjoy exploring many aspects of ancient Roman culture, such as artwork, food, clothing, and of course, combat. We roughly set our time period for reenactment purposes to that of Emperor Augustus (27 BCE) to Domitian (96 CE). Members of the Legion participate in immersive experiences, whenever possible; this is to say that when we attend special events

(such as historical recreation exhibitions), we do our utmost to set up our camp in a manner that looks authentic and convincing. To this end, we also wear ancient Roman outfits and armour, and cook rather Roman meals, whenever possible. As for combat, Legion XIII Gemina fights in the SCA style (Society for Creative Anachronism). SCA combat safety standards and combat equipment regulations ensure that everyone can have a relatively safe fighting experience while still enjoying the thrills of realistic reenactment fighting.
