KBNC UBC

KBNC UBC The organization was started in 2000 by Marj Ratel, a neuroscience nurse. The plan is now to develop sustainable medical services in West Africa.

We are the Korle-Bu Neuroscience Club of UBC and we are one of the three chapters that exist in Canada that represent the Korle-Bu Neuroscience Foundation, which is based in Langley. The organization's primary objective was to help build a Neurological Care Facility at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Ghana, but the goal has now grown to building a brand new hospital for the West African region a

nd to create health care infrastructure for that region. Already the organization has sent over 5 million dollars worth of equipment, beds, supplies and other needed materials. Our goal, as the Korle-Bu Neuroscience Club of UBC, is to raise funds throughout the year in order create awareness around the organization. We do so by holding various events in and around UBC. If anyone has any questions/comments, please feel free to post on the wall!! For more information on KBNF, please visit the website kbnf.org!
