Love Caravan

Love Caravan Welcome! Love Caravan is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a connection between youth and seniors.

Love Caravan was founded in 2015 by a group of local college students in Vancouver with the aim of bring love and caring to the seniors in the society. We hold tours in senior housings on a monthly basis where our volunteers engage in interactive activities with the seniors and showcase their amazing talents as well as teaching the seniors about traditional culture from various minorities. We beli

eve that volunteering is more than just unpaid work; it is an opportunity for personal growth. We encourage our volunteers to actively provide input on how our program could be improved and taking leadership roles. In the summer of 2016, a small group of our volunteers organized a cross Canada tour and traveled by car to 9 senior housings across five provinces, the total distance was 5078km. The tour was met with wide acclaim in all the senior housings and many wanted to see the tour return. Since our conception in 2015, we have served nearly 1000 seniors in over 20 different senior housings. Our active volunteers have grown from a handful of people to over 200 people from more than 10 different ethnic groups. We have look forward to having more volunteers from all cultural backgrounds join us in our endeavor and make Love Caravan a top volunteering program in Vancouver.
