Global Change for Children, Vancouver, BC (2026)

Global Change for Children (GC4C) was established in 2008 by a group of professional women, primarily in the mineral exploration and mining industry in Vancouver, British Columbia. We are dedicated to helping children by providing financial and other types of assistance. GC4C raises funds for various children's causes at our annual fundraising events. Before selecting worthwhile projects that help children through our donations, our directors research Canadian registered charities whose charitable objectives align with ours.

Before Gianluca can receive treatment, he faces a bus journey of more than eight hours.

He and his caregiver travel from Ancash, Peru, to the ANIQUEM burn rehabilitation clinic in Lima. Getting there takes time, and transportation and accommodation costs can put ongoing care out of reach.

CAFA Development Organization transport program, supported by Global Change for Children, helps cover transportation and an overnight stay so Gianluca can attend treatment.

His journey is one of many.

In its August 2026 update, CAFA reported supporting an average of 95 patient visits each month over the preceding 12 months.

Behind that number are children reaching care and caregivers receiving practical help to make the journey possible.

The first roofing sheet.
Three new classrooms.
A milestone worth celebrating.

At Mwikhupo Comprehensive School, students and their head teacher gathered to hand over the first roofing sheet for installation, a tradition our project partner KEEF- Kenya Education Endowment Fund - KEEF, shared with us.

It’s a special moment in the video below, as the students take part in building the future of their school.

Since then, the roof has been completed and window installation has begun. Next come plastering and wall finishes, followed by ceiling boards, each step bringing these classrooms closer to welcoming students.

Community members have contributed their labour throughout construction. Alongside KEEF, our donors and sponsors, they are helping turn plans into places where children can learn and grow.

What a night. What a result.
The 2026 Global Change for Children annual fundraiser raised $108,000. That’s $8,000 over goal.💣

More than a number, it reflects a community that keeps showing up.
