The World Health Organization believes that 10 million people die each year because they can’t afford the medicines they need. This is a global problem and the situation is getting worse as the cost of medicine keeps rising. The Access Our Medicine Initiative will be launched on World Health Day, April 7th 2014, with the purpose of raising public awareness and engagement in the global problem of a

ccess to affordable medicine. We are looking to spark system-changing conversations that lead to solutions that make medicines more affordable for all. Our Approach:

Our goal is to collect signatures on the online declaration site – www.accessourmedicine.com. To make this a global priority, we connected the declaration to the UN Sustainable Development Goals - access to medicines is now part of the Global Goals. We need people to sign, share it with their networks, write, and talk about the issue.
